Many solar panel companies provide their data online, such as their efficiency, voltage, wattage, and more. While this is nice and useful for some, it is a lot of gibberish for everyone else.

This makes it difficult to determine which solar panels and solar panel companies you can trust.

Unfortunately, with the rapidly increasing demand for solar panel systems in homes, there has also been a rapid increase in scam companies that provide poor solar panels and systems to make money.

So what about VSUN? Can they be trusted, and are they good company?

Is it Any Good?

VSUN solar panels are considered to be very good. While they aren’t the best out there, they are pretty close to being comparable with some of the best ones out there.

In addition, they actually have a ten-year product workmanship warranty and a 25-year linear power output warranty. They were even considered to be a Tier 1 Solar Module Manufacturer, which only encompasses the top two percent of all solar manufacturers.

To be considered Tier 1, you have to use high-quality materials and have an excellent warranty. VSUN also takes this a step further by ensuring their solar panels can handle stressful weather conditions and still have high efficiency in low-light and high temperatures.

Is it Affordable?

The VSUN solar panels generally run at about 18 to 20 percent efficiency. They also cost roughly 0.46 cents per watt. This makes them more expensive than other solar panels, even other Tier one solar panels.

Most other Tier 1 solar panels cost about 0.20 to 0.30 cents per watt, and VSUN almost doubles the average cost. While these solar panels are very durable and able to handle some extreme weather conditions, they may be outside of many people’s budgets.

To put it simply, we wouldn’t consider these solar panels to be affordable, but they may be worth it for those who want good solar panels and are willing to spend a little more.

How Much Can an Average Household Save with It?

This isn’t an easy number to provide. How much money a household can save with solar panels depends on a lot of factors, such as:

  • The amount and wattage of solar panels
  • The battery storage that is combined with the panels
  • The amount of sun the solar panels get on a daily and yearly basis
  • How much power the household uses on a regular basis

However, in the United States, people who get solar panels tend to save around $1,500 dollars a year. In addition, with most solar panels lasting about 25 years before they need to be replaced, solar panels can save you $37,000 over the course of your lifetime.

For more of a range, most people can expect to save anywhere between $10,000 to $90,000 over a lifetime. Then, of course, you have to consider how much the installation and solar panels cost and subtract that from your total savings.

When is the Best Time to Buy it?

Summertime tends to be when solar panels are most in demand. This is in part due to people realizing how much sun they get near their homes. Additionally, solar panels can be used for RVs, buses, and vans for camping, which occurs most often in the summer.

If you want to try and save a little money, have shorter wait times, and be able to easily find an installer, then fall is generally your best time. If you live in a fairly tropical climate, you can try for winter, but snow and ice can slow installation in colder areas.

Why Should You Get it?

Solar panels are a costly initial investment. However, they can save you a lot of money in the long run. Instead of paying high fees to your utility company, you can offset some or all of your power with solar panels.

This is also helpful right now when the costs of electricity are constantly increasing. Solar panels are easily the way to decrease your monthly payments.

If you care about the environment, solar panels are also a way to offset some of your carbon footprints by relying less on carbon-based electricity.

Finally, if you buy your solar panels outright instead of loaning them, in some locations, solar panels can increase your property value, so when you go to sell, you can get more money for your home.

So, in addition to saving money every month, you also get a better offer on your home.

Final Thoughts on Vsun Solar Panel Reviews

With so many solar panels and solar companies coming out due to the high demand for solar energy in homes, it can be hard to determine which companies to go with. Many are, unfortunately, scams and can leave you with a big bill and nothing to show for it.

Thankfully, VSUN is not one of these scam companies. They are based in Japan and are actually a Tier 1 solar company, with great warranties and good materials for their solar panels.

They are a little more expensive than other panels but last a long time, can handle extreme weather conditions, and still produce energy in low light.
